Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, passes to the third-party provider that returns sponsored results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to address the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this data in aggregate to keep the site working and to understand which pages help visitors. We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the data described above to operate the site, fix problems, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a list of our visitors. We do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to government portals, county and state records offices, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy, and data you submit there is governed by their rules, not ours. This is especially true of the sponsored search results on this site, which are provided by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We retain server logs only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because we do not run accounts, there is no password or profile of yours to breach on this site.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, Md. Code, Commercial Law ยงยง 14-4601 through 14-4614, became effective October 1, 2025 and may provide rights where its scope and exemptions apply. Because we retain little data, a request generally involves our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Government records held by Baltimore County or Maryland agencies remain outside our control, and any correction or removal request for them must go to the proper custodian.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
